ICaWR was a high-level sponsor of the Mangrove and Macrobenthos Meeting (July 17 – July 22) in St. Augustine, Florida, which has become recognized as the premiere international conference on mangrove ecosystem response to climate change.  Scientists, managers and policy makers from 32 countries were present.  Interim Director Dr. Mark Hester gave a presentation on drivers of plant community composition and sediment accretion dynamics in mangrove ecosystems of the lower Florida Keys in response to sea-level rise.  ICaWR's exhibition booth was visited by a large number of interested attendees.
